Chris

Chief Technology Officer

Chris loves using math and coding to change his little corner of the world, one student at a time! In the 7+ years he has been volunteering with us, our 30,000+ students have compiled well over 6 million programs using the tools Chris has developed. He has run programs helping new Canadian youth develop apps to adjust to their new lives in Canada, and last year as a Wilson leader, he led a group of youth tackling vaccine hesitancy through design thinking and coding. In 2022, he graduated from the Software Engineering & Society program at McMaster, receiving Governor General's Silver Academic Medal and the Ontario Engineers Foundation for Education Gold Medal. He is currently a Master of Computer Science candidate developing and evaluating a novel framework to create interactive, multi-user applications.

Sheida

R&D Computer Scientist

I'm Sheida — freshly graduated with a Master’s in Computer Science and endlessly curious about Software Engineering. I love learning, teaching, and geeking out over ways to make CS education more fun and accessible. Big dream? Helping students actually enjoy learning CS concepts.

Maryam Emami

Msc (McMaster)

Mary

R&D Data Scientist

Maryam is an R&D Data Scientist at STaBL Foundation. She has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a master’s in Computer Science, and her work sits at the overlap of those two fields: mathematical reasoning, data science, and software engineering. She builds interactive tools and activities that make learning to code more engaging. Writing code is only part of it. What she really cares about is the thinking behind it, the logic, the problem-solving, the concepts most people skip over. She likes taking ideas that feel abstract or intimidating and turning them into something students can actually explore and visualize..
